It's an 86, has a 350, 4x4. I bought it west of San Jose out in the desert. Shipped it to springfield mass and then brought it home to nova scotia. I removed all the external California smog crap and put an edelbrock intake and a 600 holley on it. It really is due for a complete rebuild, it had water in it for a long time and I thing the head gaskets are rotted as its started using coolant. I had the trans rebuilt a couple years ago. I'm putting it away soon until i have enough parts, time and cash to do it right.
I want to strip it completely so it can be painted, has lots of dents and dings but no rust. Want the ac to function again also.OLDSKOOLERnWV, Flint1, cke and 16 others Thank this. -
Been there a few times, tho not this year at all. Have a few friends that are there pretty much every week. Great get together.cke, Crusader66, singlescrewshaker and 5 others Thank this.

Still perfect. Nothing wrong with it. Would make a great daily driver and still cool as heck! I dislike brown, but dads 86 was metallic brown with tan interior. Had it hand pinstriped at the sametime as his new 88 flc cabover by Rudy. Guy had one hand with only a few fingers. Sure as heck could lay down the pinstripes. Could drink the beer also and showed up in the Lincoln. Ugh days past.Flint1, cke, Crusader66 and 10 others Thank this.

That's my "plan" crate engine, edelbrock fuel injection kit, rubber, bushings, diffs rebuilt, lines brakes etc etc
I'm going to keep it 2 tone, the brown tho is going to be "sunset bronze mica"
It's a Toyota color, and the beige.
I bought a smashed Victory and my painter had a gallon of it from another job, he used it on the bike, and in the sun, and under neon lights it's a spectacular color. Pic doesnt really do it justice.
The factory strip at the bottom seam, but a hand painted stripe at the top.
I figure once I start it will be a couple years and about 25k. But i can't buy a truck i like for $32k, and that will be my total if I spend all 25. And it will be brand new essentially. Wife has 1 more winter of commuting and she retires next march. I told her the following winter, she will be parking outside.... I will need the whole garage for it....lol
She's just happy I'm not going out and buying a new 70k truck, so she's all in.Last edited: Sep 5, 2022

Don’t mean to intrude, but got news from the doctor that my wife is allergic to about 3-4 things around where we live. Got told that a cooler, damper climate would do her good. So after some long discussions we decided that heading back to NW Oregon would be best. Called up my old boss and got my job hauling chemicals back. Didn’t go over great with the family but what can you do.

Good luck, hopefully that works for her.cke, Crusader66, jamespmack and 11 others Thank this.

Nice thing with those 350 SBC is you can just about rebuild them in a day with a Fisher-Price toolkit lol.Flint1, cke, Crusader66 and 11 others Thank this.
