How were the benefits with them? Do they have a high turnover rate? I'm looking for a new place to call home.

Benefits are pretty decent and have cigna as a insurance.

As far the turnover at least here in Houston the turnover is very low. You got folks that leave due to getting their own truck or changing careers or leave ltl completely.

Overall averitt is a good outfit, the only reason I left was because I wanted to work for my current employer.

We are back to Blue Cross health insurance, Delta Dental and Vsp for eye care. I am very happy with the benefit package and certain discounts we can receive.

    Texas_hwy_287 Thanks this.

How is averitt for team drivers?

Do they allow pets if im an established husband and wife team?

How fast do there trucks go mph?

Do their sleeper trucks have refrigerator and or inverters or both?

What kinda miles can teams expect on average at averitt?

Do you have too wear the blood red outfits if your team drivers?

    Former averitt driver here.

    No pets allowed.

Team drivers are either assigned a route or run wild

Trucks are governed to 65 unless you do their OTL division.

    Miles average 5500 miles.

You do have to wear their uniform is policy.

About the fridge and inverter not really sure but they do have apus.

Don't forget to check out OD especially since you from atl there's plenty of freight that moves in your area.

Thank you sir.. ohh i know od never is hiring in my area for team drivers i check almost everyday for almost 2yrs no openings.. i hear od likes too lay off people alot when work gets slow but not so much aaa cooper or estes, sefl are pretty stable companies when work gets slow. Whats your take on odfl letting people go when they get slow? I know od is like the top dog next too ups i would love too work for them. Do there trucks go 65mph still because lately they been passing me up and one was keeping up with us when i was able too go 70mph.

Me and my wife team drive for fedex contractor but im just over fedex.. they never have freight all i do is sit for 15-24 plus hours waiting for loads out 6-8 days for barely 3500-4800 miles because fedex pay period is Saturday-fri so i always have carry over miles that go on the following pay period. Waste of time..

All of fedex ground dedicated routes suck they lowered a lot of the runs they use too have 5300-5800 very few 6k mile dedicated runs now they all got shorter under 5k if you even break 5k dedicated your lucky.. most the 5 days runs are actually 6 and you barely get a 34hr reset.. i like my 2 days off.. ill work 6 days if the money and work makes sense.

I currently work for OD and yes they have a tendency of laying folks when it gets slow.

Once covid restrictions were lifted up OD was having a hard time recruiting drivers therefore the when the last layoff happened dock workers(part time) or lazy drivers were let go.

Hopefully they do have an opening as it would suit you guys and you can either run wild or a route.

Sefl is a pretty solid company too I don't know much about their teams but they always have freight to move.
