    No dock work as a driver, and it seems like their runs are structured to minimize waiting.

    FedEx really utilizes the hub and spoke model, so hubs are designed for everyone from around the region to arrive around the same time, which means freight for your barn is arriving at the same time as you, mixed in trailers that need to be unloaded.

    From what I can tell about OD, they stagger their runs throughout the day, so when you get to your destination they should have your return trailers ready to go. Your run could start at 2pm or midnight vs FxF where it probably starts between 8 and 9pm.

    We’re like a mix of that at Gordon’s we are on a hub and spoke system, but also stagger runs so in theory we’re not all on top of each other at some yards, doesn’t always work, but it’s a sort of version of a mix between the two.

    I’ve posted pictures on here of like FedEx freight trucks like 6-7 deep waiting to get inside the terminal. Of course those were from 2001-2002 as all the Volvos were red lol.

    These are sleeper teams and we run all over the country, my route mostly pulls 53’s from railyards to UPS hubs and vice versa. We do a 4 day 4800 mile route that pays around 145K per driver per year at top rate.

    it’s like 96 cents a mile and it’s more then 4 days. You’re math doesn’t make sense.

    When one knows not what they speak they should hold back their misinformed comments and listen to those who actually are currently running or have run team at Buster. Anyone that knows anything about UPS Sleeper Teams knows they are big money. Many of the jobs have 10-15 hours of clock time a week or more at $41 an hour. Both drivers are on the clock including drivers sleeping. There is currently a sleeper job in Louisville paying each driver $4,000 a week and it is 6,351 miles. You do the math to figure how much clock time they get. Yes this is a big run, but a short job pays what the driver you mistakenly corrected earns. @LtlAnonymous Is anyone running sleepers making $150,000 at your hub in 4 days? Maybe all 400 of them? 1200 miles a day in a 70 mph truck is easily done even when you are getting clock time every place you fuel, drop and hook or wait on loads.

    Like these hubs are letting guys get 3 days off.. bs. If you have a 4 day run you’re not making 145k
    Yeah the big 6k mile runs get 150k or more and there’s how many of those per hub ? Not many and Theyre gone on the first day of bidding so you need what 30 years of seniority or a friend with that
