Wow. Really. These signs have been around for years. Plus dozens of other various iterations. In a wide number of states. Curious that it was just noticed,

Trying not to get off point here , Roundabouts here in Wisconsin passed a law a commercial vehicle has the right of way to use entire Roundabout and the approach , ,.all lanes if necessary , 4 wheelers cannot enter the Roundabouts on either side , pretty darn cool.

Several in Colorado have signs that say not to drive along side or pass trucks in roundabouts.

The reason the sign is there is because it's not normal to turn from that lane. Always turn from the outside lane, unless otherwise instructed...as in the sign in the OP.

And this just shows that you were proven wrong. Can't let it go, and now must start a new thread with "proof" that is no such thing as proof as it's a whopping one intersection.

So, how long until you get this one closed too? Or maybe, just maybe you'll finally admit to being wrong.

Ok last time. Right turn far right (inside) lane. Left turn (with 2 lanes turning) right (outside) lane. I can’t believe it’s even debated. The reasons are so obvious, not worth explaining, or debating. I still recall it being in the CDL study manual 30 yrs ago. They must not teach this in schools. I didn’t go to a school myself. Just studied the State provided Manual.

Sometimes with these kinds of discussions, there is how I do it, how you do it, and the right way. Regardless of the signage, I am going to go through that turn the best way to avoid making contact with other vehicles as well as keep the "other" lane in my field of view. I think this can be better understood by the fact that the sign in the photo is NOT regulatory. Oh the state DOT tried to make it look as if it is. I had this sign debate once in regard to the Pa Turnpike that had those remove sunglasses before entering those tunnel signs. The last time I looked they were not white with black letters.

If directed by signage to a particular lane that's the one I use otherwise I use the outside lane on both right or left turns.
My reason is when turning I'm most likely to be looking to the direction of the turn, both thru the window and the mirror with just quick scans thru the other mirror.
