    Attention Drivers

What ever you do, DO NOT go to work for Ward Truck Load Express.

This company will screw you out of your money anyway they can. To start with they will tell you that you will be paid $100.00 per day for orientation this in fact is fuse they only pay $70.00 per day. The next thing they pull is, they state in orientation they is a one week hold on your pay check (work week completed on the 7th will be paid on the 14th) this is in fact untrue they hold 2 weeks (work week completed on the 7th will be paid on the 21st). This simply means you will have to wait 3 WEEKS for you first pay check.
These people are anal, all there drivers are complaining over the stupid crap the company is pulling, in the 2 weeks I worked for Ward Truck Load Express all I herd was complaints from the other drivers, one driver was suspended for 3 days because he did not sweep out his TRL, another driver was suspended for 3 days because he had to much idle time less then 25% in the WINTER compliant after compliant after compliant that’s all I herd NOTHING positive.
Now here is my complaint about Ward Truck Load Express
After working for them for 2 weeks and finding out I would have to wait another week for my first pay check I decided I had enough, when I told them I was quitting they told me I had to bring the truck back the same day I offered to return the equipment in 1 - 2 days later they stated I had to return the truck the same day because I will not be permitted to drive the truck after that, needless to say I was unable to return the equipment the same day to the Altoona PA yard, so since they told me I was unable to drive there equipment after the same day I was forced to leave the equipment in the Easton PA yard and this cost me $333.00 truck recovery they called it. These people screwed me out of $933.00, I haven’t received a Penney for my last week I worked for them, oh I got my pay stub with all kinds of ######## deductions on it making the net pay $0.00
So I will say it again what ever you do, DO NOT go to work for Ward Truck Load Express.

Stay away from this company, don't even waste your time. These people just don't care about their drivers or maintain their equipment. It took me 3 months just to get the brakes fixed correctly. When I first got the truck I had safety ride with me to pu a truck a driver got hurt and couldn't drive. Every time I step on the brakes it was like metal against metal. He said its because its raining out they where making that noise. Well it kept up making that noise after it rained and it was getting harder and harder to stop. So, they put it in the shop overnite and said nothing is wrong with them and it was fixed. I pu my load and left and it was still making the same noise and hard to stop. My fm told me she was tired of listening about the brakes and she didm't want to here about it again, so drop it. Well 2 months later I was went into the main terminal to pu paperwork and when I hit the brakes guess what it made that noise. 2 drivers ran inside and told dispatched the transmission was going out. I kinda laughed at them and said no its the brakes. They said now "oh u can not drive that truck u will get into an accident". I told them what was the difference betweel now and when I told u about it 3 months ago and was told more like just shut my mouth about it.
Plus they do not maintain their trlrs. The dollies are so binded up a driver will have a heart attack, broken back, or broken arm. They do not grease the dollies when they service them. So, its like cranking down or up 50,000 lbs when the trlr is empty. The drivers are writing in black markers "please grease dollies" on the side where the handle is.
Here's some other news when did PA do the exits from exit numbers to mile markers??? 2 or 3 yrs ago?? they haven't even up dated their directions to their customers, but they did to there ltl terminals!!! Wrong directions means if you don't know the area that you will be in an area like I was in Pittsburgh where u have turn and take up the whole street from sidewalk to sidewalk in a 60 to 65 ft truck and trlr. These people blame the driver for everything. They are not willing to work to make it easier for the driver by updating directions. I know because I gave them some for customers they didn't have and they never put them in. Including ones for low bridges from road construction. They there just for a paycheck. This company doesn't have mgmt. The employees calls it missed managed.
When that csa 2010 goes in effect they will be put out of business. Safety and 8 drivers where targeted by the federal dot awhile ago and fined. But, talked down the fine for falsfication of hrs to $40,000 from $250,000 and put it on the drivers. And from what they said to me the feds went to their houses. And told them it $10,000 per log violation and prison. So beware of this company.:biggrin_25513::biggrin_25513::biggrin_25513::biggrin_25513:

YOU drove a truck with crappy brakes for 3 months? Thanks for putting peoples lives at risk because you didn't have the balls to stand up to your dispatcher.

Yeah, I had the same situation happen to me in Dec. and I quit. I'm not going to be party to criminal activity. I should have just taken the trailer (w/ no brakes and the co. owner knew it because I told him) to the DOT and turned it in. 45,000 lb load and no trailer brakes all the way from Van Buren, AR to Weberville, MI ALDI.

No I didn't get the chance. They gave me a load after I came of of W/C. I told them I couldn't deliver on time. 4 to 5 hrs sleep in 33 hrs. Would be 14hr violation and being fatigued. They said I refused the load and fired me. With all these regulations and fines it wasn't worth the hassel. They tired everything including writing me up for stupid things, including threatening me if I didn't run illegal. Companies like this one doesn't care about people they care about money. Its called greed.:biggrin_2551::biggrin_25512:
