Both the radio & CB back lighting is red .. it makes a big difference for night driving
Most people think I did it to look Kool... Ummmm no I did it so I don't have to struggle with seeing at night since probably 70% of my driving is done at nightLast edited by a moderator: Sep 11, 2022

The red lights is an old ww2 pilots trick that carried on into trucking after the war. My grandfather put some old red trailer marker lights with the glass lenses and #67 bulbs under the dash of my Diamond T back in the 50’s for his dad to see better back then. I had to replace them with newer ones because they were so corroded they were un restorable.

The biggest issue I have with night driving is the pandemic of a high beam drivers. These are drivers literally turn their high beams on, on purpose and do not care. “Me, me, me” mentality.
I had an old driver tell me once that when you have someone with high beams on behind you coming up to pass you can position your mirror so it reflects right back in their face. He also suggested getting a high-powered light like the police use and shining it in your mirror back at them and they would get the point real quick. Lol but I haven’t gone that far yet.
i’ve tried positioning the mirror all the way out and down assuming this might be an angle that reflects the light back at them but there’s no real way to know for sure. -
The new headlights on cars nowadays are just stupid bright to everyone but the driver of the car. Low beams are a joke with the light pattern they put out. All they do is blind everyone else and don’t put the light in the right places on the road. So everyone has to use high beams to see were a normal oldschool bulb works better.
I also believe everyone is slowly going blind by looking at these dang smartphone screens and computer screens all day long. Glasses or not. They are slowly making us loose our sight.trapart Thanks this. -
Also, if I become Master of the Universe and Dictator for Life I will ban all fog lights and anyone using a off road LED light bar will be cast into the bowels of Hell along with their entire family.
