Have we decided the new speed limit in truck stops is "however fast I wanna go."?

Remember the tv show Beat the Clock? Today’s elogs are just an extension of that show, when the clock stops so do you. At least that’s what I have noticed. Even the construction zones are a drag strip, it’s slowly gotten worse….

 

I am going to disagree a little- blaming the speeding on Elogs is not really the cause as I see it.

it is the basic lack of respect or courtesy that is so prevalent today. It is the same on the road - I have to get ahead of you because only I matter.

most of these idiots that are driving 40 mph in the parking lot of truck stops are the same ones driving down the shoulder in a 10 miles back up.

this is what happens when the lack of civility is institutionalized. It is obvious in our discourse in the political arena …

I’ll have to say it’s possibly some of both.

There’s always been hotdogs in trucking, at least since the 80’s when I came in to trucking. It has just really got worse last number of years.

But… some that I see flying around, wouldn’t understand me saying good morning either……

 

Seen Bitter Creek is still setting in the construction here. Heard they got a lot of fines trying to put that 14’ load through 11’ lanes….

I agree with you both. Sadly lives are on the line in both cases.

 

That's still 2k heavier than my can loads.

There's a place 40 miles from me that makes all sorts of tanks. They'll shove them in vans if they fit. Last one I did to a home Depot was a whopping 900lb for 3 tanks.

 

Making more room. As you can see some people haven't treated that fence very nicely.

Lol I just had a yard dog waving his arms in exasperation. Seems like everybodys here a little early today. Tell ya what...I couldn't handle his job.
