Worth checking cam lobes on punping injectors. 9 times out of ten this fault code is due to a cam lobe.
Another Canadian driver and QUALITYTRUCK Thank this. -
I had same code that would pop up when driving up a mountain - P228F00:
First, i had fuel pressure relief valve deleted, the problem remained. Then i had camshaft and injectors examined. Camshaft was fine; no spinned lobes. It turned out to be a bad injector. Replaced all 6 injectors and cups. So far, the problem hasn’t come back.Another Canadian driver and QUALITYTRUCK Thank this. -
Since basic checks and even an EPRV-delete kit haven't resolved the problem, it might be worth considering a deeper diagnostic scan or consulting with a specialized mechanic familiar with Volvo trucks.

First off, sorry to hear about the headache with your Volvo VNL. I think that checking out the fuel pressure regulator and its buddies might shine some light on what's going on.Now, about that particulate-matter sensor code (DTC P24B100). While it might not directly throttle your power, it's still worth a look. Sometimes these seemingly random codes can hint at bigger issues lurking under the hood.
For more information about your code, you can access this guide about OBD-2 codes and maybe you will find some answers for you problem.Last edited: Apr 18, 2024
