New truck and new flatbed, I got all my tools and supplies loaded on and hit the scale to see where I was when empty.
Steers 11,100
Drive 10,520
Trailer 7,720
Are steers normally that high when empty? I know the load doesn't add a whole lot to the steers, but still, I feel like I'll be pushed over 12k easily.
Fifth wheel all the way back.
Will this be a problem?
Unladen weight

Looking up my axle on the front, I guess the axle is rated up to 13.2k, so I guess when I get to my truck here in a couple hours I'll have to see what the tires are rates for
cke Thanks this. -
My KW 680 is the same. I hover around 10700 and 11200 on the steer all the time.
cke Thanks this. -
You won’t add much at all, if any, to the steer with your 5th wheel back depending on where all the way back is on your truck. You don’t really start throwing a lot of weight into the steer until your 5th wheel gets up forward of the center of your drives.

That's about where my truck is, wish my father wheel slider wasn't seized as #### so I could slide it back a notch or 3.

cke and Cattleman84 Thank this.

You should be fine. My new T880 runs almost identical to you. I run my 5th plate barely to the rear of center on the drives. At full drive axle weight I am allowed at 38K I don't exceed 12.5K on my steers.
