I’m usually a western Canadian driver , but GM has decided I need to be a mid-west / east driver for a few weeks. I know anything east of say MN the max height is 13’6. But are you guys really only running 13’6? Even with a pick up on #1 I’m at 14 feet. How are you guys working it to get around this?
East height limits.

I did hear there were a few other GM dedicated programs running in the USA. Do you know who else has a dedicated fleet?
I know those FT Wayne guys are leaving the yard at 14’3 and getting home safely. But they also run the same load and the same road day in day outAnother Canadian driver Thanks this. -
Everyone and their Brother with a one car or more is hauling them now. If they had paid a reasonable wage to start with their normal carriers would be handling the work. Oh well.
Another Canadian driver and Hammer166 Thank this. -

It's not foolproof, as you kind of have to keep an eye on the routing to notice it's asking you to go an unexpected way (at least if you want advance notice) , but it works.Another Canadian driver, EvertonP and Banker Thank this. -
And as @Banker mentioned, away from downtown areas, there's few issues until your well over 14'. The one bridge that's eaten multiple roofs is the one at Jackson MI on I-94, going west. It's only 13'8" or 13'9" in the right lane.
Another Canadian driver and Banker Thank this. -
