One thing I've never liked about this job is the number of crashes we see on the roads.

Saw the very close aftermath of one on my way to deliver this morning. Road shut down, get turned around, re-routed. Two hours to go six miles.

Always makes me a little sick inside because it happens due to someone not paying attention, or doing something stupid to try to save a bit of time.

Fatal four-vehicle crash shuts Hwy. 97 south of Redmond for several hours - KTVZ

Nope. Truck finally went to the body shop this week, supposed to be done next week but I got jury duty.

Might be selling out and moving to FL beginning of next year. At least that's what my wife and grandkids are planning.

Well heck that's not what I wanted to hear.. :(
Lot of lost revenue from down time, but you hold the pink slip as I recall, so no big note on lil Sarah at least..

I know it doesn't really effect me, but hate seeing a good ole boy operator such as yourself hanging it up. You are who the industry needs, but I understand it has to come to a end sooner or later..

For all it's faults, FLA still has some pretty nice areas..

i dunno, I mucked out deep bedding and turned it into the compost pile before leaving home and it took till KC before the smell was out of my nose. National was pleasant in comparison.

Just think of it this way, if I retire, fuel will crash and rates will go into the moon :D.

Watch for it around March. There will be so much money in open deck work you'll think you've won the big lottery, every day.

Unless that is, I decide to keep our little truck for a while. If that happens, fuel will head on to Mars and you'll have to dig up Jules Verne to find where the rates went.
