‘22 389 day cab. Driver’s side door seems to be shut tight but once I get going about 45mph and it starts whistling, like birds chirping. At first I thought it was the window as if I cracked the window I couldn’t hear it. But I think it was simply masking the noise as I now hear it occasionally with the window open.
It doesn’t act loose or vibrate when closed.
When outside i see the bottom corner by the handle often times doesn’t close flush.
Both our shop and peterbilt are uninterested in addressing the issue…
So is there any adjustments to the drivers side door??

There are 2 stages to the door latch. Slowly close the door and push it by hand from the outside and see which stage of the latch is being achieved and make sure it is getting to the second stage.

The only real adjustment is in the striker pin for the latch. Mark around the pin mounting bracket with a sharpie so when you move it you can see what direction your going and you can always put it back. Loosening the #3 Philips screw will allow for minor adjustment in all directions. Small movements here. If you take it in too far it will be to tight to close or won’t reach the second stage on the latch.

    Agtrucker Thanks this.

I was sure that door hinge has something to do with adjustment as well ... Maybe I'm wrong

Appreciate the info, I finally had a chance to mess with it yesterday. Unfortunately I didn’t get the results I’d hoped for. I moved it in and out and while it seemed ever so slightly better out it was still quite noticeable.
It seemed like it may have taken slightly less effort for it to semi latch in that position as well.
I compared my door to the guy I park next to at the end of the day with the same truck.
I noted his door would completely close flush with the slightest effort where as mine needs a good swing and even then it’ll more often be a jar down in the corner by the outside handle.
Secondly the door seal all the way around the cab was nice and round on his truck where as on mine, the front bottom 6” or so is smushed flat and then it’s okay for a few inches until you get passed the door wedge piece then it’s smushed flat again all the way around the bend and a few inches going up the back side of the door.

The door feels tight as in no up/down play. I kinda thought it looked like that when closed the bottom front had more of a gap between it and the sill then in the back corner by the handle.
Im not sure what other options I’ve got. I might try to get some foam back tape and put that against the weatherstripping where’s it smushed to see if that helps seal it better…

Hopefully these ramblings make some sense…
Edit, I didn’t want to pull the screws out not knowing what was under it but is there any adjustments to that wedge piece?
