Well this CSA2010 is gonna take some drivers off the road it sounds like and really go after companies that have a bad compliance record. The times are a changing and it's not gonna get easier for the driver... ever again.
JustSonny Thanks this. -
If the driver's have been doing their jobs of pre tripping in the first place this wouldn't be needed. Not to sound like a dick or anything but do you stop to think that this is a good thing instead of bad. Everytime something comes up y'all ##### and rant and get all negative about it and fail to see the good in anything that is "regulatory". I see CSA 2010 being a good thing. It'll force driver's to get their act together and take care of their equipment.
Kabar, Biscuit75, JustSonny and 1 other person Thank this. -
When will the government begin to review 4-wheelers' driving history?.....Just saying....
-
My point is that anytime anything regulatory comes up, it all falls on the driver. Why do they refuse to address one of the biggest issues around- the waiting time that shippers and receivers force on us? How bout the number of times that you are not compensated for that waiting time? Why is it not mandatory for anyone going thru school and taking a driving class that they should have to go thru a training class to teach them how to interact with trucks on the road? The point of my statement is that every law they pass only affects one aspect of trucking and it is always the driver. Perhaps CSA2010 will be a good thing but what happens to the driver who has had a good driving record and because of a couple of minor mishaps he's then labeled unsafe by this CSA2010?25(2)+2, bullhaulerswife, Double L and 2 others Thank this.

Since they are not involved in interstate commerce the federal government has no say over them. The states already have a point system for all license holders. -
Yes that is true...we all know that....But you being from Kommiefornia also must have to ask yourself..."How in the Hell do most 4-wheelers manage to obtain and retain their DL's"?
Today would be a perfect example of it....It's raining in SO-CAL....
There has to be a least a 100 accidents by now in the L.A. metro...90% caused by 4-wheelers...... -
Driving used to be a "privilege" in Cali....Now most people believe it is their "Right" to do so.......While they have their "Crackberry" in one hand, and their Latte in the other; while yelling at another 4-wheeler because they actually took .0009 seconds longer at the intersection when the light turned green......
-
You think that's hard?Try keeping and driving a five year or older car or truck in CA.Try using your off road toy.CA has the WORST motor vehicle enforcement guidelines in the country.JustSonny Thanks this.

Ooooooooh.......we can go further.....Let's talk PWC's or and other watercraft....
Take a trip to Marine Stadium's launch ramp.....
Go to Lake Havasu or Park Moabi.......
Cali is full of crazy az z regs.....but do they enforce them on the nutjobs who have think they're all Ray Caselli's in a Blown-Fuel hydro?????
No....but they do however write a driver up because the lettering on the tractor and trailer valves have worn off; or they write a driver up because a tail light just went out when they pulled on the scale.....
