How come they don't make these for the USA only Australia? I think it's a nice rig.

I don’t like the recycled grill but there’s lots about the truck I like.

I drove one of these Kenworth, pulling flatbed, running 48 states & Canada.
Had power steering, air conditioning, air-ride. The company was receiving long-nose Freightliners, but myself and another driver stuck with the cabovers.
The company name was XpressCo which finally closed the doors and reopened as Western Express. I really liked working there. The owner was Wayne Wise, who has since passed away. All the drivers liked and respected him. He was cool and laid back.

Just a guess here but most likely because there would be no sales for them . big fleets wouldnt buy them because conventional would outperform on fuel mileage just from aerdynamics alone...wouldnt mind if one of the truck manufactures introduced a new cabover here in the states... Seems like all the electric trucks are cabovers, not sure why that is. But that may be what the next cabover is.

    Yes.

A lot of it is because they are range limited to being local rigs combined with the fact they dont consume "fuel" so have "yes mpg" in most idiots minds. As such a cabover with unlimited MPG and fit into tiny holes is an easy sell to those who dont know better.

This guy is the reason, or at least drivers in this condition. Worker’s comp claims would go thru the roof with them trying to climb into a cabover.
Imagine how strong the steps and grab rails would have to be to stand up to that much stress.

Freightliner still makes (or did 4 years ago) a cabover... they just have to be special ordered and they don't build them until they have 100 on order.

And for those of you that want one, have you ever had to climb out of the driver seat over the doghouse to get to the back...?
