    2006 Pete 379.
My jakes and cruise control not working. Sometimes they would work and sometimes not. Now both are completely not working. When they were working on and off, I could hold my clutch pedal down a quarter inch with cruise on and it would stay working. As soon as I let up cruise shuts off. I am convinced it is the clutch switch. I replaced my clutch 3 weeks ago and the mechanic said the switch will work properly once the new clutch is installed. It did work great for about 2 weeks and now nothing at all. My question is, where is the switch located? Some say at the pedal where it goes through the floor, some say at the rear by the return spring and some say behind air tank. I searched everywhere, even with my micro camera and can not find it. I want to remove the air tank to look for it but if someone has a better idea, I am all ears.

I always go to the Petercar dealer and ask for a print out of the area I'm working on. Currently trying to close the fresh air door on my '91 379.

Clutch switch is mounted on the front side of the clutch linkage box. Outside of the cab under your feet.

Ask for the Gold switch at the pete dealer.

Part has been hard to get as of late and has gone on back order a time or two in the last couple months.

I see where the clutch comes out of the floor. It goes to a linkage about 5 inches wide with the inner rod going to the back. I can not locate a switch around there. At the back there is another transfer to the rod going to the transmission and it pulls it back. There is tge spring return back there but I am not seeing a switch. Mind you, I cant see every bit of the linkage but I can see probably 95% of everything.

It’s there, likely just hidden. Front side of the box. Right behind where the pedal goes thru the floor. The cast aluminum arm at the front of the box is the part that actuates the switch.

Small spring with a pointer aims at the passenger side. Mounts with 2 machine screws.

Found that SOB! I cut the wires and joined them together and everything works now. Later I will get the switch and replace it. Thanks again bro!
