I’ve got a n14 and it takes about 40 seconds for it to crank every time even after it’s warm. After it starts it runs fine. I’ve inspected the check valve and I don’t think it’s that. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks In advance

I’d check fuel pressure while cranking. It takes a little over 20psi before the injectors fire.

Ok thank you. How do I check the fuel pressure??
-
Easiest way would be to find someone with a gauge that has the compucheck fitting.
The other is to put a pressure gauge in line after the fuel pump.woodsplitter and QUALITYTRUCK Thank this. -
Did you change the fuel filter recently?
I have seen Baldwin filters cause this. The o-ring is too thin allowing just a small amount of air in causing the truck to lose prime when off, but once running it is overcome.LoneRanger and QUALITYTRUCK Thank this. -
