This is incorrect information. The PSP reporting system does not use a score or points system. This system only REPORTS DOT/FMCSA records of crash and inspection activities of an individual CDL holder. PSP stands for Pre-employment Screening Program. It allows a carrier to obtain a record of the last 5 years of crash data and last 3 years of inspection reports.

You got caught with a flat tire. That's rather low on the scale of potential future employment problems don't sweat it.austinmike, Another Canadian driver and Diesel Dave Thank this. -
He was cordial but you and your Carrier still got an OOS on each of your records. You'll get some points on your PSP and the Carrier will get some on their CSA/SMS.
Geekonthestreet and Another Canadian driver Thank this. -
This is why if you work for a company where the shops famous line is “Can you limp
Back to the yard“ or they ask you to make it to a truckstop 57 miles up the road? You tell them no. It’s your CDL, it’s your record not theirs. Although the inspections do go on theirs as well. They want to risk marking up your record so they can save 100 bucks not calling roadside assistance.Another Canadian driver, drvrtech77, Kyle G. and 1 other person Thank this. -
