Well Ohio was kind of nasty and definetely a bit breezy. Sure glad I had 43,000 lbs on me. It did cost me about an 1 1/2 hrs of time and # 80 miles. Had 11.25 hrs that I could use today and used, you guessed it, 11.25 hrs.
I also spent last night in IN. Wonder if we were at the same truck stop? hehehehe
Bummer, fueled up at the Petro in Girard, OH and had planned to stop at the Petro in Milton, PA for my 10 and a shower. Dang it, no longer a Petro and there went my shower. Gonna be in RI tomorrow at the "only 24 hr truck stop" in that great state. Deliever at Assonet, MA the day after. Never been to this place and am wondering what its like.
Got HT coming up and I am sooooooooooo ready for it. Thank goodness my company gets us home on time.
Came out of the Loves and couldn't find my truck for a minute. Its normally a dark brown but now.......its more chalky white.

Okay, if you're going there, let me give you directions, because I took a car through the detour and it was hell. No way a semi would fit.

On I 90 headed east, take the Argonne exit, it's 2 or 3 after the Freya exit.
Turn left and head north. Follow this road to Bigeloow Gulch Road. You'll know you're close when you go up a steep hill, it'll be the first stoplight after the hill. Turn left. Follow that twisty turny road to the first light, probably 3-4 miles. You'll see a small gas station and a bunch of trucks on the right. Turn left. Safeway is the third building down on the right, you'll travel along it's fenced area well before the gate. Swing wide to get in, otherwise you'll take out the fence.

Why the hell did they route me from US287 through montana 84. I think I lost time going that way. I could have stayed on 287 to i-90 e. would have been about 40 extra miles but I could go 62 through all those miles instead of putting along 84 doing 45-50mph through a twisty canyon.

Words of wisdom you'll never receive from a Mac 27....especially the twisty turny thing.

Very true.. But the very best thing.. Is to call your shipper.. No number on the qc? Call ur dm.. If they say you can't call.. Google the place. I never go anywhere without calling.. I swear.. Their directions sometime are.... "Go left on left at left b4 sl."

What kinda rubbish is that? Just sayin.. If you want to know if it can deliver early.. Call and ask.. Take the load into your hands.. I promise it'll go smoother.. Also.. If I ever see one routes quicker.. As long as I'm not bypassing a fuel stop... I go that way.. They usually don't fuss about it.. Unless you have a stick dm or a.. Not so nice dm..

Not tryin to sound like a ding dong.. I just promise.. If you deal with the customer.. It'll make your life much easier.. Plus they can tell you bout those twistys.. 27s can't....

Nope, they will not take you early, but you can show up as much as an hour early and wait. It's a big building, you will tour 90% of the outside before you get to the dirt lot on the south side. The dock doors suck, if you've ever delivered to Safeway in Denver, you'll know how it goes. They're covered dock doors, with poles marking them every 2 docks. Just take your time, be careful, and don't give the reciever in frozen the finger. He doesn't appreciate it.

Both going up Argonne and coming down, try to stay in the left lane, otherwise you'll risk running over curbs, parked cars, and posts.

If you have time to take a 34, either take it at the petro on the west side of town, or the J in Idaho, exit 2. The other truckstops in town, including the J on the broadway exit, are scary or have tiny lots. If you stop at the J in Idaho, let me know if the white Volvo with the shamrocks on it is parked in the back corner of the McDonalds.
