They make great bedtime drinks for me.... I'll seriously drink a Monster while laying in my bunk, and I'll sleep just fine.
Tipp City is a pretty good place to deliver, plenty of bullpen parking.

While the shop was working on the truck ended up getting a 34 in. I'll give those guys 10/10 as everything that was wrong with the truck is now fixed. Dispatch was starting to send messages about idle percentage. But now that my apu is working those should stop. Anyway currently on my next load. Dispatch had a driver pick up my load and brought it to the yard to save some time. I'm off to Dallas going to US Cold. I've been there once and that was maybe 3 or 4 years go. If my memory serves me right they were slow. Ran all the way down to the loves in Blytheville. Going to take my 10 here. Probably roll out close to midnight. My appointment is tomorrow for 10:00. So got plenty of time to make otd.

If it is the us cold off n c*ckrell hill they are a crap shoot but most of the time they get you out at a decent time. Cant check in more than an hr or two before your appointment but if you need to finish a break let them know when you pick up your bills and they will assign you a parking spot

Yup that's the one. But change of plans for me. They asked if I could meet a driver in Oklahoma to swap my load for his empty. He is trying to get home in Dallas. Told them no problem. I will then head over to pryor,ok to pick up a preloaded trailer going back to Michigan.

They seem pretty good, I put in an application last night about how long did the process take for you?

Time for another update. After I dropped that load from Oklahoma on the yard, went 30 or so miles to pick up a loaded trailer going to cannon air force base. And boy was that a fiasco. The instructions was to call the contact person the day before I deliver so that they could make sure they have everything in order on their end. Welp guess what.... it sure wasn't. Apparently the project got pushed back a week so they wanted me to go to a different warehouse on base. Get to the warehouse they wanted me at and docked. I was thinking they would have me in and out quick since they had people on the dock checking the load out. Just wishful thinking really. 2hrs goes by and not one piece of furniture has been removed. So I check to see what's going on.
Come to find out the guys that's suppose to unload me were on their way from Lubbock.(never showed up) Told to look for a blue pickup pulling a trailer. Another hour and a half go by and still absolutely nothing. Another guy walks up and ask have I seen them. He picked up on my facial expression quick and said he will get some other workers to try to start the unload. Another hour or so goes by and they are halfway done. I get asked to go to the original warehouse because they are out of room at the current one. No problem since it's literally right across the road and maybe 30sec drive down.
Now this warehouse doesn't have a dock. So they have to keep climbing up and down from the trailer. So of course this took some time. Then here comes one of the workers saying I hate to do this but we need you to go back to the other warehouse because the last of the furniture is on pallets and not floor loaded. Ok great no problem. After they finally had me unloaded told them I need my copies of the signed bol's. He gave me such a puzzled look. He told me to give him a sec. That second turned into 15 minutes. So I went into the warehouse to see why. They had lost the bol's some how. So they searching the warehouse up and down. They even went to the other warehouse to see if they were there. But nope they sure wasn't. Even more unnecessary wasted time goes by. But at last the bills where found under the pallets they unloaded.
Now by this time I already had another load put on me. But this merry go round has caused me to be late for the pickup. I quickly get over to my next pick expecting to be a work in as they are strict about appointments times. Well according to Google reviews they were. But I guess because they wasn't busy they had me in and out within 2hrs. But by this time I was extremely tired. Thankfully they allowed overnight parking. I slept 10hrs straight. By morning I let dispatch know the situation because it was no way I was going to make otd in Minnesota. And I also requested detention which they approved.
Dispatch set me up a swap with a team in Salina, KS. Did that last night. Now im sitting in bevier, mo because i only have 30mins left on my 70. I got 10hrs coming back tonight. Their load is going back to the yard. And then from the yard I will grab a load going to Pennsylvania. I don't think I want to go to another base anytime soon.Last edited: Sep 30, 2022
