Some companies are that way, many other are not. It is best to find the company you want to work for BEFORE you decide how to get your license. Most people go to school and think they can shop for and research all of their choices in the 3 minutes of spare time they have each day. Once you have your CDL it's best NOT to worry about the average company or the average conditions, etc. You only work for one company at a time and their pay, conditions, requirements, and schedules are what will apply to you. Choose wisely, some companies are 30 times more difficult to work for than other companies. Some companies are 30 times more honest than other companies. NEVER lease a truck until you have worked AT LEAST 1 year as a company driver.
