What’s going on guys , I have a c15 mxs and my question is at what oil temp does the engine fan engages at?

Not sure it really matters. Oil temp on the acert cats is a computer generated number based off water temp, engine load and such. I'm 98% sure of that. Don't believe me? Look in your oil pan for a temp sensor

The fan engagement is based on the engine coolant temperature.. engine oil temperature is Irrelevant

IMHO accerts run too #### hot...normal op temp is approximately 195....ECM set to kick fan at 208 if memory serves....heads toast by 225

I’d be more worried if oil ran too cool I don’t think a diesel could get oil hot enough to break down .. as long as oil pressure is fine at your operating temperature your fine.. cold oil doesn’t burn off moisture and it turn acidic..
