    Hello fellow truckers. I am need of some of your help. I recently had a contract with a company and I asked them for the ratecons to verify my loads were correct in pricing. Upon asking, they terminated my lease and broke our agreement and now I've called a million lawyers but no one handles these type of cases bit I know someone does.. can you guys point me in the right direction as to the actions I need to take to get legal help to get all the funds owed to me? Thank you in advance..

    Answer a few questions before we move forward to determine whether it is worthwhile to invest time and money in this since lawsuits take a very long time.

    1. How long were you leased with this company?
    2. How much revenue have you made with them?
    3. What led you to ask for the rate confirmations?

    As a fleet owner, I will say that they chose to conceal the true ratecons and mislead you in order to enrich themselves. However, the real question is whether it is worthwhile to hire a lawyer and spend money in this market in order to recover some money from them.

    Call Seaton and Husk in VA. They're not cheap but they can use a commonly known Fed law that says the Carrier has to give you the rate information from their customers upon request. It's the law.

    I’d start with Ooida. They are the ones responsible for Lobbying to get the Truth in Leasing Laws passed. They’ll definitely be able to explain your options.
