Waiting on New Trucks thread.

I ordered a pickup late last October as there were none in stock. I got it in May.

 

A new order ford or ram is 10 weeks away here, but lots in stock, so probably no need to order it.

 

Once they get the chips they’re short. Prices will have to get competitive. I’ve seen a few new car Dealers with empty lots. Mostly in smaller markets. I’m guessing they sold their inventory to Larger Dealers in Larger markets. Meanwhile the Manufacturers have thousands of vehicles built, waiting on chips. Lots full of them. Extra rented lots and fields all over, full of brand new vehicles. The rule is always to sell current inventory to make room for new model years. There will be some good incentives, because there will suddenly be too much inventory, just wait.

 

I waited just shy of 7 months on a new ford truck order.

 

If you don't mind me asking. How much did it run you? You pay over sticker?


I'm mad at it all. Truck part shortages. CPC shortages. Ect......

 

I know you weren't asking me, but I paid sticker.

 

I can’t wait for the new Superduty orders to open up, I need a new company truck.

 

I ordered an F150 and an F450 last December. The 150 showed up in May. The 450 still isn't built, although emails have said it is scheduled for mid-month. I'm probably not going to take the 450 now.

Both trucks were ordered under X-plan and that's what I paid for the 150. No markup and below invoice.

 

Watched a video that showed 40,000 ford trucks sitting at a race track waiting on chips..

 

I just got an email from Ford that my new pickup, ordered in January, will be built at the end of October. That still beats Kenworth.
