    I'm thinking about trying with Western Express again. Only problem is I've submitted multiple applications to them in the last few months and have had no response, so I'm not sure what their rehire policy is or if they have me blacklisted or what.

    Leave a message at Western Express; "Take this fire hydrant and stuff it!"

    When I first watched The Irishman I didn’t understand how someone could go from being a trucker to being a hitman. Now I understand

    I found out from CFI that Western Express lists my reason of being fired "failure to report accident - citation for leaving the scene". I think my truck driving career is over.

    Did you ever get it resolved, asking because I too am in something similar.
    Nothing is reported and everything is clear just when the company replys back to the employment verification

    Asking because I have a similar situation, everything is clear except when this company reports back on the employment verification

    Such technicalities. Yes technically running over a fire hydrant is a “accident”. But what these prospective employers are looking at it’s not the accident itself. There’s guys out here that bang stuff up like that once a month and they’re still driving. The sole issue they’re looking at is “accident, didn’t report it and left the scene”. That sounds really bad. Once they see that they don’t look at you any further at all. Your application goes in the trash.

    you have to give away to get past that part. Talk to recruiters and Literally within the first five minutes tell them the story you’re telling here and simply explain that you were new and you didn’t realize bending a fire hydrant a little bit was considered an accident. You’ll find someone understanding, most likely. Right now what they’re doing is viewing it like you smashed into somebody and then you tried to take off.

    I'm in talks with TransAm after many, many denials. You could try them.

    Reason for the lack of interest from other Carriers is not the accident itself.
    You are still good to be hired by someone.
    Keep looking. Don't give up.

    Hydra_Kitt Thanks this.

    @Hydra_Kitt --

    Have you tried talking/applying to any of the food service carriers?

    Sysco? McLane? Performance Food Service? Any others?

    I would not give up until I had at least tried all of them.....

    Those people are constantly looking for CDL help.
