    How often do you do shorter routes within cities? Compared to long haul routes?

    Longer for me I just prefer that way. I tend to run a lot of skinny roads so as to avoid traffic and anywhere the mega fleets run.

    I prefer longer, rarely do in town.
    2 days is perfect for me, a day out, and a day back to home.

    I ran nitetime ‘linehaul’ for one of the LTL companies, for nearly 14 years. Nowadays if I get strictly daytime city delivery route, hauling fuel, it’s a good day.
    Don’t miss nite driving one bit.
