Thanks GL. I had been away for a while and not able to post on here lately. I was disgusted too with some of the posts on here. Did I get a little hot under the collar as well? Yes I admit that. But I get so fed up with people who just seemed bound and determined to come on here and say "Hey since it didn't work out for me, you'll fail too."
Starting new driving job the 29th. Going with Marten.

Glad the thread's back open. I missed all the stuff that got it closed. I've been following Looney's posts since he started at Marten. Thanks for reopening the thread GL!!
GuysLady Thanks this. -
Not a problem Gentlemen. If insults and flames start appearing again, please report it so one of us can take care of it, BEFORE we have to shut it down and do heavy-duty housework... Thank you, guys!

Thanks GL, good job on the cleanup! You do truck interiors too?

I don't understand the logic either LooneyTune, I know that non commercial drivers lump truck drivers into the same mold but I don't understand fellow drivers doing the same thing. Where are you this week? heading for MO?GuysLady Thanks this. -
You're welcome. No, I don't do truck interiors anymore, but I can give some good tips on it.

Unloaded in Springfield, MO. Loaded in Joplin to head for Jacksonville, Florida. Then from there hopefully they start working me home
-
Nice to be headed away from winter huh? So Looney, you've been on the road for about 5 weeks now, the new company smell has worn off so how do you rate things?
Dispatch? DM? payroll speed and accuracy? stuff like that. -
Well I'm on my way home. As soon as the rec. gets done I drop my trail here in Birmingham and the it's home till the 16th. Sense the 1st I have traveled as follows.
02/01-Montgomery del/reload to Atlanta del/reload to Chicago del/reload to Manassas VA del d/h to Harrisonburg VA load going to Pauls Vally OK. Spent 36 hrs shut down in snow storm ran like the wind almost got shut down in Memphis because of another snow strom ( they have no idea what to do with the white stuff ) made it to Pauls Vally OK del d/h to Russellville AR p/u load going to Winchester KY switched it in Hayti MO for load going to Pelham AL then home.
10 days out 8 days driving never had to wait for a pre-plan 3900 miles. Trucking isn't perfect and neither is Marten But I just can't find much to dis-like.alex94 Thanks this. -
I have got to get some more experience...we at WSE are pulling some Marten loads. I would love to know what it's like to drive 3900 miles in 8 days. I think I could make it out here if I could do 500 miles per day. Thanks for the posts Kabar.
