I don't want to sound like I'm gloating, but personally got bout as fortunate as could be.. Power only out couple hrs, cable/internet about a day. Couple minor tree limbs down, initial thought 2 fence panels, but ended up doing 6 panels & 5 post total.. My folks only lost 2 screen panels off their pool cage. Some of our close friends just got power back last night, yet are less then 9 crow fly miles away..

Ian's initial track was going make landfall up here, but turned about 100mi early & hit Fort Myers, Nort Port, leveled Sanibel Island. There was higher sustained winds further east than near the gulf coast here. We only saw cat 1 winds of 75mph sustained for about an hour.

Dakin dairy, one of the localish farms (Myakka) lost upwards of 250 milk cows. :( Some drowned, some crushed by the barn, others trampled. Most their hens are MIA too..

Got wore down by the little woman & got my ankle looked at yesterday after the bruising showed up. No fracture, "compound sprain" :rolleyes:whatever that nonsense means, but they put me in a frickin boot for 4 weeks. Fat chance.! Can't operate the clutch with that goofy thing. I'll give it weeks end before I go truck'n..

11’ lanes in the construction, could get interesting at 10’-6” wide. Called my dept of highway buddy, he’s checking for me things for positive….

Yep, I am. :) Had a feeling at the beginning, that I wouldn't be long for the job, especially when I joined them because it looked like they did flatbed/stepdeck work, but never was given that opportunity, so I found my exercise doing the work I was doing. Enough that I knocked about 20-30 pounds off my body during that time, which is what I wanted to do, working there. I have at least one other job that I can be doing when I finish some home chores, which is why I wasn't all that upset, but it's a local job driving single body dump truck and the reason for going for the other place was to get back to the refreshing tractor/trailer work, so I could refresh the skills that insurance companies insist on. :( So, either I do what I retired from 15 years ago, or I start looking to do the flatbed I wanted to do, so yeah I was happy to shake off the 'beta male' job. :)

    That's exactly what I'm saying!! Darn thing ain't broke, I ain't wearing that stink'n boot!! Lol :D

Honestly I'm not sure if I got an easy pedal or not.? Ol Buck had a 12609b trans, Peaches has a 14609r. I haven't driven many other tractors other than my own, but these 2 aren't super stiff. Just assumed the lower torque rating made them that way..? IDK
