Where can I look up these ISS numbers? I found the SafeStat site but that has a whole bunch of abbreviations I don't have a clue about like SEA.

You need to know the company, or DOT, or MC/MX number. I have no idea how you can or if you can look at many compnaies other than one at a time. -
I just tried it. It works pretty well even without the company numbers. I still didn't see ISS# just satisfactory, unsat....
-
Once the company screen comes up, on the left side is a oftion of other info, click on SafeStat results.

just type in any information u have on the company (i. e., company name, dot #) and it'll give u their safety info -
thanks for info

Thank you SO much for explaining that to me....
Guess I'd probably look at some other carriers. Do you think the number is high because they have a smaller fleet? I am looking for a carrier that is SAFE. -
Not necessarily, Swift with over 18,000 power units has an ISS-2 of 72, borderline to the next level. You need to do lots of research for a carrier.
