sheesh that's low miles. We're getting 5 - 6 K a week with a 34 hr reset every week. We run an average of 1000 a day.

wow. surprised at all of these replies. thanks! I am not married seeing as i am only 18 but was just wondering because my uncle and aunt are interested in getting into trucking and were wondering what would be better. Thanks for the replies and keep your opinion coming.

I'm one of the few (from what I've noticed) female solo drivers and there is no ways on this earth I could team...with anyone. I had a great trainer when I started, but that was enough for me.
I enjoy my solitude and sleeping while rolling was almost impossible for me.
To you women out there that team with your hubbies, you have my utmost respect.Texas-Nana Thanks this. -
What is exactly your question and complaint about my post?
Yes. I team with my husband. We're on a dedicated fleet. We average 5-6 K miles a week. We get a 34 hour reset every week. -
You solo women have MY utmost respect. I couldn't do it. -
Nana let me take a wild guess here. There are times when you and your husband get on each other nerves. I don't know how many times I've seen teams go their seperate ways the truck is stopped for a few hours. By this I mean to spend some alone time to take a break from the other teammate.

Scuby. What's your point? Whether we're in a truck or not we've always had times when I would look at this wonderful man and mutter "don't they need you at work?" He would laugh get the kids and go somewhere for a couple of hours so I could be alone.
That is a part of every good marriage. The acceptance and fulfilling of the other's needs.
However, he is my best friend as well as my husband. We think each other's jokes and satirical humor is unbeaten. We make each other laugh in the middle of a disagreement. So.......it works.Blue Screen Thanks this. -
Nana I'm glad that you and your hubby make a good team. That's why I think married teams are the best at teaming. Also long term GF/BF couples. What I'm saying and you have posted is there are times when he or you need some alone time. I'm also saying if a driver new or experinced is considering teaming do it with someone you know quite well. Otherwise its a create some major problems.
Texas-Nana Thanks this.
