Driving an 07/08 FL Cascadia. Wheel tilts fine using foot pedal but can't get it to telescope. Did some of these come with only tilt?
Tilt but not telescopic?

Maybe I'll hook a come-a-long on it, with a chain out the window and around the roof. Actually did that one time on an international v liner to hold up the engine while we changed out the clutch. Probably buckle the cab in on this pos. Seriously, you think it does telescope, just not trying hard enough?

I'm assuming you've tried pushing it all the way in?
Odds are the mechanism is coated in solidified junk - dirt grease smoke residue whatever. Take off the cover and clean it up, should work again.Rideandrepair, MartinFromBC and 04 LowMax Thank this. -
Ok. I'll try that. But nobody has actually answered my initial question, is it possible the truck came with only tilt? Or is there always telescope if there is tilt?

My 98 FLD has a sticker stating it does both. The lever even goes both ways. So far only the tilt works. Going to look into it sometime.

If it's a csascadia it should telescope.Rideandrepair and 04 LowMax Thank this.

Take cover off, its possible you have only one, (was sourcing a new column for my 94 kw, i can get fixed, tilt, or tilt+tele) see pic, my telescope cam is shattered, so now i only have tilt... except that also requires a screwdriver to help it...
Rideandrepair and 04 LowMax Thank this.
