Iowa carrier enforcement sure comes up with some dandys! And since that kid in a pick up in des moines took em to court and won they have remarked all carrier enforcement vehicles as moter vehicle enforcement and can now pull anyone over .

Driver issues aside the only real thing I see wrong is the pickup on the back of the rear one. I'm about 90% sure I've seen three units piggybacked on one power unit before.

    bzinger Thanks this.

He might have been over length. In addition to that, the driver had no license, let alone a CDL, no medical card, no valid credentials or paperwork. Lastly, the pick up truck bed was only being held up by a 1 inch ratchet strap!

JonJon78, Oxbow and bzinger Thank this.

Oh God, they're upgrading from tow bars to fifth wheels. Do they still do 35mph down the interstate?

Down here, we called that a Mexican car hauler. I've never seen them do it with truck tractors, but they do it along I-10 with straight trucks, school buses, and various combinations of small trucks and cars... convoys of junk headed to the Mexican border.

Best one I ever saw was a 24 foot box truck with a smaller, cab-over box truck inside of that one. I'm sure the smaller truck was filled with yard sale items.

Then, attached to that, was a school bus, chock full of yard sale junk. And attached to the rear of the bus was a pickup in which the bed was full of bicycles and kids toys.

They always seem to run on Sunday, when all the weigh stations are closed, but I've never seen the cops mess with them.

I always wondered what kind of bribery, er... I mean import fees... the Mexican border guards charge to get that stuff across.

A few years ago I sold a gas powered generator in omaha and the guy that bought it said it would be on a truck to Mexico the next morning.
