Actually there are about 75 large brokerages operating in Armenia that scam carriers and legit brokers alike. They have a pretty easy to spot MO if you know what to spot.

That should also apply to Walmart and all other businesses. They should disclose what they paid for the item and what they are selling it for so the consumer can go to the front desk and demand they pay less so the store does not make so much of a profit. Better yet, start with the oil companies, gas stations, parts stores, the list is long. That is what you are asking. At the end of the day you take the load for what the broker is offering or move on. This will not give the carrier bargaining power. The broker does not have to meet a carriers demands. Brokers have the customers. If you don't like that brokers are making a profit then get out and get your own customers. You will find you may not have enough trucks to cover their loads so the shipper chooses to use a broker who has access to hundreds of carriers. The one thing that most carriers do not realize is that the broker works for a brokerage and they take a large percentage of the profit for overhead cost. Which includes Insurance 250,000 CSL - 200,000 Cargo etc., same cost as the carriers. Again, instead of being mad at brokers for having customers go out and get your own.

Can I ask everyone what would you like to see from your broker real answers because it’s important that what you want is clear to me.

Dang, quoted my post from 15 years ago. Lol
To answer your question, every place that has freight has a shipping office and shipping manager. Talk to them. Salesmanship and negotiating rates. You will get at least 100 no’s for every yes. Any industry that ships freight will need trucks. Many of them will only use brokers because it cuts down on their workload. It’s easy and cheaper for them. Don’t over promise on what you can deliver if you shoot them a line of BS they will see straight through you. Telephone calls, e-mails and face to face, networking, getting to know these people. Where we live, we know many of the players from way back in school, others from just being around the industry for so long. Friends of friends and social events. We still have accounts with many of the shippers that I spoke of in this post 15 years ago. Persistence will pay off. If you get the opportunity, make it pay off. The shippers don’t like carriers who are picky about the lanes or if it has to be shipped on weekends. Sometimes you will work harder for these shippers than you would ever dream of working the spot market. You have to make the most of an opportunity.

There is no such thing as a "GOOD BROKER". All brokers are unnecessary and like a leech, attach to your and your truck and suck out all of the money that they can, sometimes not leaving you enough to live on.
