Rock ,they probably could but I am just about finished with my 3 month CDL school and find most of the real desirable companies like Roehl and Gordon Trucking are very thorough in there qualifying and now I am thinking about OD and a couple of others but OD seems like a real cream of the crop gig to get in to

being a team is a big benefit.as far as schools go.....i would highly recommend you go to a college driving school. they will take alott more time with you and you will get allot more driving time. you will get 5 times the training.

Old Dominion sounds like the cats meow. I am a new grad currently waiting on my hazmat background check to come back. I was wondering what troubles you have getting into motels with doubles hooked up or do you drop before going to the motel. And what kind of motels are they. I hope not crack and herion junkies hang outs. And one last question, how in the heck do you back doubles. We never touched on that in school

That may take about 6-8 weeks

I don't think you're likely to see any hotels with Old Dominion. If they don't get home every night they have bunkhouses at their terminals.

You don't. You just have to watch where you pull into, and make sure you can get out forwards.

MACK is correct. usually not politically but on this. (u know i still love u mack) i just drop 1 trailer and back the other. you CAN back doubles but you won't back far!! as for hotels it's mostly Super 8 or Motel 6. and yes sometimes a private room at the terminal.

How tough is it to get on with ODFL are they forgiving about 8 year old misdemeanors or are they in the branded for life crowd:pirate:

I went to their website and read the driver qualification files and contacted 3 terminals here to verify what I read on the website. You can see what openings they have on their website as well
