We used to have two liter bottles iN GLASS FORM until approximately 1976.
That year in the state school one of the classmates came into our dorm carrying a 2 liter bottle. To our TV nook, about 40 of us piled in there.
She stood in the group at the TV and raised the 2 liter bottle very high. Then slammed it to the floor.
By the time it hit the floor we were shadows in the night trying to get into any cover possible. We were like so gone. (*Expected glass to spray everywhere.)
BOOMP! bounce bounce.
HEy its plastic.
KEWL.
I as a trucker must have heard all those shippers of two liters go #####, now we can ship thousands of gallons of the stuff in plastic.
Which one is harder: foodservice delivery or furniture delivery?

Been there... done that.
Always wondered how a mouse could climb inside a 16oz glass bottle. Saw many mouse skeletons.
People always put their trash and cig butts in the bottles. A nightmare for the bottlers to clean.LPjunior1970 and Another Canadian driver Thank this. -

Which one is gonna file a expensive claim saying you scratched their cargo while moving it ?
which one has one or more flights of stairs to climb to deliver to ?Another Canadian driver Thanks this. -
I did Foodservice Union and non Union, and I did household moving. I would take Foodservice of any kind over Moving.
Now new furniture is way different than Household Moving. Household moving would be at the bottom of any List.Another Canadian driver and zmster2033 Thank this. -
Household goods, you have the owner eyeballing his stuff closely, food service, no. I did do household goods but never food. One problem with household, sometimes the furniture goes into storage from the homeowners old house, then gets loaded onto a truck 2 weeks later and delivered to the new home. The more it's handled, the more chance of damage claims.
