Even if he fails the third time, Prime is not likely to boot him. More than likely what will happen is he will go back out for another 10-14 days. Then retest him.
Another trick is to take a walk before the test. Being excited about the test is the easiest way to fail. The walk will get him to relax a bit.soon2btruckerwife Thanks this. -
red eye- he has a friend who owns a small fleet and he would let him use his truck to take it in.

I would ask for a new tester. The one I had drove school busses. Never drove a truck. But he was a certified CDL tester. Go figure. I passed first try, but the ##hole gigged me for taking a turn too wide. GTFO Mon! Good luck. Let us know how you make out.

Well, I find it a bit hard to believe that a CMV tester has not passed ANYONE who has taken the test. If this is the case, I would think the department would be taking a good hard look at him.
Frankly, I wonder if he is looking for a bribe?????????
And NO I DO NOT RECOMMEND THAT YOU OFFER HIM ONE! But it does make me wonder.
If you are unable to get a different person to do the test then you probably should go elsewhere to get it. -
That very well could it..but agreed .. dont offer him a bribe.. or he has a case of the hard ###.. since he could be a new tester... I mean.. dang.. who hasnt run over a curb once or twice.. even after years of driving.. sometimes it just cant be helped.. maybe he should show him how its done. lol..

Drive the trailer not the tractor around corners and take as much room as you need to make the turn clearing them back eight
-
Or he could use the old 671 Detroit approach...Right before testing slam your hand in the door as hard as you can so everything else seems trivial. He might need to start acting like he knows what he is doing, the tester may be holding him back not so much based on lack of talent but from lack of confidence.
-
What about requesting a 3rd party to be in the truck while taking the test. Or have a 3rd party (maybe another tester) to follow in another vehicle to observe.

Ha.....
10 years ago, if a primey failed his roadtest-he'd go to Dick Simon and become a trainer !!!!!!
