Notified my D/M today, he was cool with it. Will get routed to Conley to turn the truck in. Won't get into all the reasons, but the biggest is I just lost the heart to keep doing this, the lifestyle is killing me. Not to mention the foreclosure, and my bankruptcy which I am process of filing. It just didn't make sense to work for peanuts and not be home.

Central can and will be vindictive if you leave on your terms and not there's, when you plan on leaving get a copy of your DAC report and see what they put on it.
Also print out all your reviews so if they do put negative things on your DAC you can fight it.
For ALL THE PEOPLE WHO PLAN ON LEASING, DONT!!
If you want the reasons besides you will go broke then PM me and I will show you the nasty Grams and threats from them.
That sucks and sorry to hear that.
Your right it doesn't make sense to be away from your loved ones when you're working for Pennies. -
if you you get to the school a day or so early will they still let you stay at their dorms until monday? maybe get there on saturday night to be more accurate or will you have to get a room ? thanks...
-
Saturday night is usually when people start getting to the school. The earlier u get there, the better chance u have of getting a prison cell and the smaller chance u have of getting in the econo lodge. So u should be good getting there sat afternoon..they should have a nice hard bunk for u to sleep on.Donnyh Thanks this.

Contact maintains and safety.
See if they will let you bring it to a TA to get the inspection done.
Negative to this is if it does not pass. Then you will be screwed, so this is why they may not let you.
Hey widow, I am sorry to hear about your family issues.
I guess I may be reading into the situation too much, but it sounds like some of the Conley inhouse Lizards may still be around.
A dispatcher got fired from Conley while I was there for pulling a chain on like 7 drivers, then she was caught, after trucks lined up at the gate too the road and nobody was at the desk to let them in. -
Sitting in a blizzard in PA right now on the 76. The entire state is pretty well shut down. This load will be definitely be late as well as my p/u. But I talked to my DM and he said that all loads in this area are already being classified as late. Oh well. Time to sit and maybe get a 34.

Sitting in Monroe, MI. Had a lovely drive across Ohio early this morning. The 280 and 75 was a mess, saw a few wrecked trucks along the way (must have been supertruckers?). Funny how you cross into MI and all of a sudden the roads were cleared.
Had a few "to close for me" calls this morning due to stupid driver tricks around me. Remember kiddies... it is your responsibility to operate your equipment in a safe manner within the operating parameters of the equipment AND the environment.
Saw 37deg today. Amazing how that seemed warm in comparison to what I had been seeing.
Bumping my 70, so mac6'd for tomorrow availability, but on my post trip discovered a tail light on the tractor out and a hard mount for one of exhaust stacks had broken causing that stack to wiggle a bit. If it was just the light it could have been fixed here at the TA, but the KW hardware prompted a visit to a KW dealer in Dearborn in the AM. So much for a good start to the next week, but it beats attempting to explain how one of the exhaust stacks broke free.
On my screen the wraparound began after this point
and I had to page down to read the rest.
I guess you could say she was still providing service to the fleet, or...... ummmm... I'll stop there, don't want to offend anyone. -
You must have brought that bad weather with you. When I left PA yesterday it was fine, I left dry and clear roads for y'all.

Yea!!! Finally finished my 7 drop load from......Hades today. Only had 1 problem with shortages. Had another problem cause some driver wasn't using his noggin and looking ahead. My last load said it had 3 chep pallets. Well actually it was 2 with the missing pallet being double stacked. Didn't even think to put a load lock on it and had a really steep hill to climb coming out of there. What a mess. Got to the last rcvr, saw what had happened and told the guy I'd give him a hand with it. He said ok, brought in a couple of mty pallets, then just disappeared. Never saw him again. Lumped that 1 for free since I figure I deserved it.
Got my load going home. Not going to make it there on time but at least am heading that way. Got 5 HUGE rolls of paper. 43000 lbs. 2 drops and the 1st is in PA. Oh joy. -
Sure do wish you luck in whatever you decide to do.Last edited: Feb 10, 2010
