You have to self certify DOT physical in TN. Something happened a few years ago, I think I didn't do it right, but I ended up unknowingly driving a class A truck around for 10 months on a downgraded class D license. My insurance company called out of the blue one day and brought it to my attention. Called the driver's license office and the lady that answered laughed herself silly. She thought thought it was really funny. I wasn't laughing but I got it reinstated quick and easy enough.

 

Yes they make sure your taking care of if it’s a CDL

 

I know at one point it was appointment only, and that was during the summer. I made an appointment and drove about 100 miles roundtrip because the local one didnt have an appointment for like months!! I went to Polkton.....
