A straight 4 or 6 pill would work well, or you could have the radio turned down but that would defeat the purpose of having a radio with that much drive..but its your radio do whatever you like..

I'd look into X-Force or Davemade..

Friend of mine runs his 98vhp into a straight 8 pill and it screams. I wouldn't run it into anything smaller than 8 pill or you will likely smoke it.

BTW you'll need an extremely flat swr and major grounding to do that.

    TNT 1200HD

    Transistors 6x 2SC2879
    Dimensions H 4 3/4' x L 11' x W 6 3/4'
    Amp Draw (maximum) 120
    Class B
    SSB Delay yes biasing
    Pre-amp yes
    Driver Required TNT 250 (optional)
    Power Output (RMS) 400 Watts
    Power Output (PEP) 725 Watts
    Driven Power (RMS) 650 Watts
    Driven Power (PEP) 1200 Watts
    install recommended with 2ga wire
and 125a fuse. Max input carrier of
25w or 450w max carrier from amp.
    Max peak input 350w

Above specs taken right from X Force on the TNT 1200 6x 2879
Note max input 350w into the TNT If your 98vhp is truely doing less than 200 watt out you could get by with a straight 6 easy.
max input for a straight 4 pill according to Carl is 240watt peak input drive. If you can stay under the ballpark 240 input limit maybe an option..

I have a 98vhp and have run into a SnowCap 6 pill with no issues. 8 pill would be fine as well.

What are you going to install it in??
What size Alternator do you have??
Is it your truck or a Company truck??

I ask these questions for a good reason. I'm the one Running a 98 into an 8 Pill. If you want send me a PM and I will give you my Phone #. It's not that hard to hook up, but it is not just plug and play ether. And I can recommend a good amp. I have been running mine now over two years with zero problems. Swinging to 2200 watts pep. I have talked all over the US & Canada with this set up and have made contacts in Mexico, to bad I could not understand them lol.

I'm putting it in a Kenworth W900, with a 200 amp alt. and 8 batteries. Galaxy DX98VHP with Monkey Made attenna. I own the truck also.
Being told it may mess with computer, so not sure how, or what to do to keep that from happening. Thanks for all the help and guidance.
