You have alot to learn. Try reading the whole thread. I gave the best advice, which is to look up yourself. You should never rely on the comments you read here for accuracy. -

This ones done for the moment... Insults on this site are not gonna fly.
Those posting the insults need to do better than this....completely unacceptable! -
What grade do the chains need to be and also what size links do they need to be in order to be used to secure loads?
I got 11 nice brand new chains that say 90 on each link and they are either 1/4 or 5/16 -
It doesnt matter what grade or size the chain is, you need to be concerned with the working load limit (WLL) of the chains which is usally related to the chain grade. The chain you have should be prefectly fine. If the WLL is lower then you may just have to add an extra chain to the load. If you dont have binders yet, I would pay the extra and get the ratchet type they dont require a lot of force to tighten like the hinge binders. Which means less chance of injury.

OK cool. I was looking around and typed in the NSN number because these were laying around out here on the base I am stationed at and they came up with a max working load of 10K lbs. They are shorter (9ft) but they were free and now mine. I am thinking about getting more of them because I know where they are and my buddy said to take them.
