I'm still a bit beat up. Can't hardly lift anything substantial for very long. Going on a couple hrs sleep every morning is starting to take a toll. Gotta get it done though. No rest for the wicked or something like that.

This was a dualie, just put a cable singles over the outside tires so no risk of that. I'd have liked some Tryggs but it goes on the cement floor now and then.
-
Yeah that might make it difficult. You've got wedges and all that good stuff?
-
Jeez man it's already starting?? I don't miss it at all.
-
I'll have to buy shims and screws and some other stuff I'm sure yet. We're supposed to have rain and high winds tomorrow though. So probably won't get very far.

I used spray foam for between the frame and wall studs, then put my trim over top. Zero draft now, the old door just had some fiberglass insulation stuffed in between here and there. Pretty drafty.
I still have to put mouldings up on the inside, had too much outside stuff to get done before winter. -
Typical fall "snow-quamy" idiocy. Easterners and Midwesterners that have no idea how to drive on snowy mountainous roads, as well as the 4-wheelers that wait until they have been stuck once this fall before putting on snow tires.CAXPT, Big Road Skateboard, cke and 8 others Thank this.

Hey that's a good idea!

The trick our tire-man used in the late 70s was to jack the wheel up, then let the air out of the tire, install the chains as tight as he could then air the tire back up. rinse and repeat on the other side. No rattling chain all winter even bringing it inside overnight.

That's genius!
