No doubt. Seen alot of big horse engines with 1650 transmissions behind them and never really a problem.

Whoa, slow down hot rod. No need to be offended. Wasn't trying to hurt your feelings. It's just alot of what you said didn't make sense. If you're looking for an argument, you'll have to find someone else to argue with because I'm not interested. I'll leave you with this. Posting figures that you found from sky high dealerships aren't necessarily going rate for everyone else. Plenty of folks have done the swaps and overhauls for far less than what you were quoted.

How do they handle warranty if someone else does the install? I know it made a big different when I had my old Volvo Overhauled and wanted that longer warranty. May not matter to some but I would guess if you are putting that kind of money down I would wants a 3-5 year warranty and a national dealer service network so if I had any problems in the US I would be covered.

That's an entirely different animal. It's not a factory Volvo that just rolled off the assembly line. Alot of shops aren't going to want to touch anything outside of the engine itself no matter what kinda warranty you have on it. It's a custom truck at that point. They would more than likey just refer you back to the shop that did the install anyway especially for warranty work seeing how it's a Frankenstein. So If a person was worried about having nationwide service network, why would they even consider doing this?

Well, the inside all looked great when they opened it up. Just a leaking head gasket. All pistons and liners looked great. Gonna just do head gasket and machine head and put it back together.

Just curious who does this swap? I would like to line up a c11 but no idea where to find a shop? I have a manual transmission so less bs to worry about.
