How much of a pain in the butt is it? On a scale of 1 to 10?

YouTube videos make it look easy. But real life always gets in the way.

It is not difficult at all. Carefully unplug and remove all the sensors and plumbing. Then remove it. Use new gaskets and seals. I have scratched marks on everything before disassembling soon I line it up right. A sharpie won't work, when they bake it the line goes away. So to answer your real question I would give it a 4.
