Can i get mt CDL back

That’s a big state
And I’m sure there’s plenty of local and short haul companies and drivers that never leave the state .


I’ve never heard of a in state medical restriction .

You need to check out the CDL rules for California and see if they will let you get it back after 2 months. Otherwise, you are going to have to start over! Sorry!

 

I think what the OP is saying is he had to self certify to keep the CDL without a medical card.

but until his medical issues have been resolved it’s going to be difficult to get the full CDL back.

Colorado has the same type of regs. I drove oversize for 40 years and had an accident down in New Mexico that left me blind on my port side. No med card cause of vision and the state pulled my Class A license. They have a special use permit which allows me to operate class 8 intrastate but not interstate. They must think I'm too dangerous to be run'in over folks around the country cause of my injury--- but its O.K. to do it in Colorado.
