For future reference. If ya ever do get to the point of wanting your own truck an doin your own thing, i seen ya on @blairandgretchen 's thread. Read that through an maybe pick blairs brain a bit. You'll learn quite a bit about the landstar process an some of their oversize experiences on there. Blair's a super nice guy an really lays his journey out quite well in that thread.Another Canadian driver, tscottme and blakjak Thank this.

An by the way if ya have a good mind for business, having your own ride an doing your own thing plus the farm stuff wouldn't be a bad way to go once you've gotten your feet wet in trucking. I've met lots of guys that have done that. Lotta farmer guys run their farms an haul hopper bottoms, end dumps, and or flatbeds as a side gig part time. My uncle who's gone now used to haul a milk tanker part time along with farming an doing heating an air conditioning work.Another Canadian driver and blakjak Thank this.

I appreciate you wanting to help, but I’m not the OP. I’ve been doing my own thing since 2008 and driving since 2001. @blairandgretchen does seem like a nice guy.Trucker61016, IH9300SBA and Another Canadian driver Thank this.
