How is Trans Flo going to help you at Mercer? We don't use Trans Flow.. Just Trip Pac... Investing all that $$ in scanners will be for what purpose?
-
I once asked about TransFlo and Mercer said they had so much invested in their own scanning equipment to get rid of it all and install Transflo's equipment wouldn't be wise financialy.. The Trip Pac system works just fine..
Since pay day is as soon as they get the paperwork and you do not have to wait for a certain day of the week to get paid, I really like the pay system at Mercer. It's hard to beat! I haven't found another company that does it any faster out there yet...
Been a while since I've posted on here, have I missed anything good??? I see the thread has grown just a teeny tiny itsy little weenie bit since my last post! (Oh, by like 40 pages I think..) Are there realy that many people interested in Mercer or just BS'ing
-
You ever sale that truck and trailer just curious?
-
Well; you know how redd and pony like to yak...
-
Nope I still have both truck and trailer... Not even a nibble showing the slighest interest... The market is flooded with used trucks, repo's..ect. Heck I bet I could find a repo'd freightshaker or somthing allong the lines of a 2006 - 2007, for around $40k if I had cash???? Just go to some of those equipment auctions... heck I might do better than that even...

I've been running it myself... Just threw a set of brakes on it yesterday (on drives, new drums, shoes, the whole works..) found a wheel seal weeping while I was at it, knocked that out too.. Wends, had Safelite glass replace my passenger side windshield (thank you Wyoming for using such perfect size stones for truck tires to throw up off the road into your windshield)!
My last trip was to WA. & back.. I've come to the conclusion... I driving days are comming to a close faster than I thought.. This last west coast turn around made me realize this as clear as crystal... What's a guy to do? Any suggestions??No one is buying trucks.. Hiring someone is not realistic, Mercer won't put a rookie in a RGN, These days are real tough.. I can't begin to even estimate how much a driver can make each week if he were to drive for me. I just couldn't keep a good driver happy. A catch 22 situation..
RGN freight just is so hot and cold.. Last month was great.. The truck made $12,677 in revenue on 5800 miles. Haven't had a month like that in a while..
So far this month. freight has been pretty much not worth it.. Ft. Drum, NY.. who wants to go there, your not going to get out of there.. everything else is short and too far away to go and get.. Oh well that's what's going on in my neck of the woods..
Thought I would play catch up and let everyone know what I've been up to.. C YA later everyone! -
