I can't really answer this question, but it might not be a bad idea to just leave it at the yard anyway for peice of mind. You can't find much more of a secure area to park the truck during hometime. You can leave your car there while you're on the road too. For a 20 minute drive, I'd say it's worth it to just keep the truck there. Being so close to the terminal, they may make you do that anyway...I don't know.

Not sure if this has been asked before or not - if so, sorry for repeating it, but how much is Prime's weekly deduction for health insurance for a family?
Thanks -
My situation with prime is a bit different in the fact I work for a guy that has a few trucks signed on with Prime. None the less I still deal with prime on 90% of issues. Ive only been here about a month, but I cant find a complaint, running team or other wise. They always keep me loaded, it may not be the most desirable load, but it always fits into the big picture. Sometimes you take a short crappy load to get you into a better freight lane. For instance, we loaded in Illinois, for 2 drop load in Alabama, it was a bit of a stretch for a solo to make the first drop and then we waited a day for the second drop 116 miles away and 22 hours to kill. However, we then picked up a load in Florence, Al for Compton, Ca 1995 miles and delivered 38 hours later, immediately loaded from LA for Ft. Worth 1400 miles had 30 hours to make delivery. Living in Dallas these days so we have taken a day off, since it has been a month since we had been home.
Cant complain, and when you do complain keep a few things in mind, will this load put me in a better freight lane later? You also may be the only available truck in the area to take that crappy hot load, help out your dispatcher I promise they will return the favor.
Just my short experience with prime scale of 1-10 they are a 9, have no complaints but havent ever experienced a 10.DirtySideDown Thanks this. -
I'd assume that you're not going to have a problem - as Trucker Mike said, as long as you have a safe, secure place to park it. I've been dropping my empties at the drop yard in Denver, and BT'ing home - never had any of the folks there give me a problem about leaving BT.DirtySideDown Thanks this.

Hey Mike. Thanks for the reply.
I have a couple of issues with my personal truck.
1) It is very large. F350 Crew Long Bed. Those parking spots are pretty small over there.
2) It is a diesel... and a very cold natured one at that. Without plugging in the block heater it can be nearly impossible to start after sitting for long periods... even one day if it is very cold.
I live outside of Ozark on 5 acres and it is an extremely safe area. Nobody would mess with it out there.
I hope they let me BT home... if not, my only choice is to have a friend/family drop me off and come pick me up each time I go on/off TAH. -
Do you guys know if there are a lot of customers in the Washington dc Area? Also in the Staunton va area as well. Thanks
-
Thanks for the reply.
It won't be used as a POV and it'll be secure. So there won't be any problems there. -
Hey just a question for you Prime guys. After i turned in my application do I need to call them or do they call me?
Thanks,
Bob -
They called me the next morning. But a follow up call probably would not hurt
-
Hmmm, I guess I will give them a call this evening then, turned in an app last tuesday and still no call. Guess it's time to get proactive.
