    What will all of these "O/O's" do now? They thought the big road was paved in gold and would continue to be. Buying $125,000 used Freightliner with 400k-500k miles..... Buying new tractors at $250k... Reality is setting in...

    Have had my own numbers since early 2008. I'm just one truck 3 trailer dog and pony show who hasn't worked the spot market since 2011. I shut down from mid december to March every year and let the two owner ops who've been leased on since 2015 pick up the slack. Dr Rudy Wells says hello.

    Go back to company drivers. I used to get about 1 driver application per month this past year. I'm now getting a 3 or 4 per week and hired someone just this week. I hadnt made hire in probably 3 or 4 months.

    Thats the way it goes. Don't need drivers, driver's ah plenty. Need drivers, can't find them. haha!

    Business always has challenges in good, great, or bad times! Things just flip flop, if you can ride the middle wave then great.

    I have since sold my truck on Craigslist for $175,000 to a African prince in Nigeria, today we finally sent him the money he needed from us to do the international wire transfer, so thankful to be out of trucking this is a load off my shoulders.
