Hey all. Need some advice here cause cant figure it out. A while back I noticed my truck was not sitting level in the rear. The drivers side was much lower than the passenger side. It is a mobile home toter truck with single rearend. I found out that my drivers side leaf spring was cracked right in the middle of the U bolts. So I got a new OEM spring with U bolts, both air bags, also the crossmemeber that goes across the bottom that the bottom of the air bags mount to, and all new air lines and fittings. Still the backend is not level. From the fender to the top of the tire on drivers side is 3 1/4" and the passenger side is 4 5/8". What the heck could be causing this. I mean it cannot need that big of a shim on the drivers side correct? To make sure I checked between bottom of frame to the top of the leaf spring assembly and shows that is lower on the drivers side. Also replaced the torque rod. Any help appreciated.

I thank that suspension is called air leaf. Some companies call air bags springs. Said only trying to be clear. Could the old steel spring be bent or a different part number, height?

Take pictures of the spring assembly on both sides and post it for us. Right now, all we can do is guess and use our imagination which won't help you. I would have to say something is assembled wrong that you are missing or not seeing at this time. Also, some suspension have dual air leveling valves, one for each side. So if that is the case, one valve may not be working and not inflating the air bag on that side.

I mean I guess that could be a possiblility. I will have to look into it. Maybe when I did all of that I should have just replaced the other side as well. Would not have been much more money.

Ok I will get pictures today for you. This system only has 1 leveling valve on it. It is also new. And obviously possible that something is assemebled wrong but it was like this before I repaired all this and still like this after. The passenger side leaf has been on there since I purchased it about 3 yrs ago. I cannot say 100% but I never noticed this issue when I purchased it.Last edited: Nov 20, 2022

Check the front end. Low corner up front can cause the rear to lean the opposite way. Think 4 leg stool with 1 short leg.

Was thinking that. I did measure that just a few hours ago and got about a heavy inch lower on the front passenger side and it is about that low on the rear drivers side???? So wondering what it could be. I know about 4 months ago I had it in to a shop where they did the kingpins, center link and did an alignment. I would think they would have seen this as it is pretty noticeable. I know I have looked at the front end before since I have had it back from them and have not noticed anything that stands out. Could the one spring have lost its arch maybe? I dont know.

Here are a couple pics. I will have to get some better ones tomorrow. Because this is a mobile home toter truck and has a block bed on it, hard to get some good pics of the springs. But all accept the passenger side leaf spring is all new. In this picture it has no air in the system.
