I'm going to use the number that I'm leased on to now to use until I get mine activated.

Thank you, sir. Dry van, p/u 50 miles radius from Baltimore to 350-500 miles out. This doesn't achieve what my main goals are but it's a helping hand and I appreciate it regardless.

They don't usually post rates... So is the plan to call and ask about loads you have no way to even cover? Or is it to see load volume from postings? If it's hot and someone calls you will you tell them you don't have an available truck? Can you see the issue if they let people without authority and trucks to "do research"?

    DSK333 Thanks this.

I do. However, brokers do similar things, plenty of carriers post trucks available for similar reasons and brokers call on said posts even though the details aren't even close to what the post's requirements are. Plenty of posted rates when the time is critical near the end of the week usually if it really needs to be moved. You've NEVER fished by posting a truck available?

not even sure why u think dat is good.

And honestly studying lanes in this current market will hopefully lead you away from buying a truck.

I was studying lanes back in April that were paying 4 bucks a mile and I was easily planning 12k rounds all week.
Now them same lanes I'm lucky to book myself 5k a week. The story here and hopefully is true these rates fluctuate all year round and seriously dat load board is like bottom feeder territory. But good luck too ya

That post was from a few years back, I would not expect that you’re wrong though. I couldn’t guess on hard numbers, but the couple times I have looked all I could think of was why would anyone expect to make money doing that kind of work.
