Welcome to the forum Smiles. Glad to have you. As you consider this move into trucking, you have found a great place. To get into trucking is a major undertaking, and it is best done with LOTS of research and gathering information. This is a great resource, and there are lots of truckers and former truckers on here who will be glad to share their experiences with you if you just ask, but also just spend a lot of time reading the previous posts and learning what you can from them. This is a treasure chest of information for those who will search it out, and as I said, I encourage you to do that before you make a decision. Its always best to be armed with knowlege. You can gain a lot here. Welcome.

Welcome to the forum Smiles. A wealth of very informative information on the forum. Hope you hang around for a while and enjoy yourself. By the way, the $40,000.00 the first year is a stretch. Not saying it couldn't be done, just a stretch. I am sure you can figure out how it can be done reading these threads laced with knowledge
.

Smiles Please do not believe that the bs will not follow you into the trucking industry. Every job has an amount of it, you just have to figure out your tolerance level.
You did not expound about your factory job (pay, benefits, job security, time around the home, etc.), but carefully weigh all components against what you have going for you to what it will be like out there in a big truck.
There is not a clear cut answer, because it is different for everyone. But as others said, research and maybe face-to-face conversations with drivers will help you make an informed choice. I wish you the best.shookup, simplyred1962, JustSonny and 1 other person Thank this. -
